The EYFS and Our Approach

Learning and Growing Up at Three Bears

The EYFS and how we foster positive development as our little ones grow through their Early Years

As an OFSTED registered provider in England our curriculum is based around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which is a framework for children from birth to 5 years old. This outlines 7 areas of learning and development which we help your child to progress in from their first day at nursery to their very last day with us before starting school.

7 Areas of Learning:
  1.  Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  2. Physical Development
  3. Communication and Language
  4. Literacy
  5. Mathematics
  6. Understanding of the World
  7. Expressive Arts and Design
Parent Partnership:

Here at Three Bears we are constantly working to ensure we have a strong parent partnership between yourselves as parents and your child's Key Person. Parents have unlimited and convenient access to their child's EyLog - their online learning and development journal, updated by their key person on a weekly basis. We also complete termly assessments and hold termly parents evenings as well as little chats at drop off and pick up times so you are involved in a collaborative effort in your little ones journey through the nursery. We believe parent partnership is a crucial part of our ethos as a parent knows their child best and will give us the best information to help them to develop.
